I just bought one because of the great sale. Cant wait, this phone looks great, and I also found out that it has gorilla glass, which isn't mentioned on most spec sheets.
Anyone else get this phone? How you like it?

Got one Sunday on the first sale. Great phone, I hate sense though.

Got mine yesterday. About what I expected so far. First question - what is the big N icon up top and how do I get rid of it?

Phone is very responsive - haven't had any lagging yet. Camera is decent, really like the burst mode feature. Didn't do any editing with Zoe yet but it looks like it does some neat tricks. Blinkfeed I could live without but it seems to stay out of the way. Coming from a vevo, this phone is very sleek. The plastic on the ends, where the speakers are, does seem a bit cheap for some reason. But I don't hold that against the phone at all, it's not a $600 phone so it shouldn't be expected to match those phones. Hard to beat for $180. Speakers on this are really really great, I think it would be tough for any phone to beat them. I think they chose good corners to cut to get the price down (plastic body, less beefy cpu, lower rez screen) without sacrificing too much - it still looks good and still performs great.

I will never understand why the HTC logo is not a button. They put it right in the primary smartphone button #1 position, and then make it just a label and not a button. That's about my biggest complaint right now. But after a couple hours I'm used to it.

Yeah, at least make it a button.

Got mine yesterday as well. Hardware wise it's excellent, screen is big but not unwieldy, touchscreen is extremely responsive, phone is thin and light while still feeling relatively sturdy. Software wise, Sense 5 is much improved and I don't feel the instant need to install a custom launcher. My only complaint is that you can't remove the BlinkFeed, although you can get it "out of the way" of normal use. Hopefully we will see the Sense 5.5 update at some point.

Yep, I picked one up. I was going to go with the Supreme because it appeared better on paper at first, but honestly, looking around, it didn't seem like a good purchase even at $180. I didn't really want to spend $250 (sale) on the Galaxy S3 either at the time.

Anyway, the Desire 601 seems great so far. Nice and responsive. GPS locks on very quickly which is a huge improvement over my Motorolla Triumph. Also, I really think 4.5" is just the right size for a phone. I feel like the Galaxy S3 and other "phablets" are almost too big, which is probably why the iPhones stay in this range as well.

However, to my astonishment this phone doesn't have the hardware sensor for a compass. Even the cheapest phones have a compass. I'm not sure if this will affect anything, I'm just really surprised at the lack of such a basic feature.

Anyway, for $180 at the time, I think it was the best purchase.

EDIT: Price was $180 not $150. Corrected.

I picked one up on Cyber Monday and I'm digging it. I really don't have any complaints. I'm hoping that we can get some good ROMS for it or at least root to remove some of the bloat.

I picked one up but haven't had time to activate it and switch, sounds like it will be a huge jump from my current Kyocera Rise which has functioned for the most part pretty well. I will miss the slide out keyboard for sure but the pluses far outweigh that minus. Also just read this phone will be getting Kit Kat which is a huge plus. (first quarter 2014).
