Help Green Screen after short use

I have a Toshiba Thrive and have been using it for about 2 or 3 months with no problems whatsoever. Yesterday, while using Kindle the screen went green. All of the icons have a pink tint as well. I tried to factory reset and that seemed to work for about 10 minutes and then right back to the green. Is the Thrive broken or is this a known issue?

I took the back cover off and re-seated the battery. That appears to have resolved the issue. Is this a known issue with the thrive - that the battery can come loose? I have never dropped it BTW
