    Hello everybody!

I have viewed several topics on this forum and found them to be most helpful, so I decided to register on this magnificent forum of yours.

I have a Motorola Droid and love it a bunch. I hope to one day root the phone (when the warranty is gone and all that), and will no doubt use guides on here to do so.

I am generally a silly and all around fun guy, and look forward to meeting some of you.

Wow ..... I just joined the forum because I figured it was about time. Talk about a perfect coincidence! I had no idea froyo was dropping today, so when I checked out the droid forum .... OMG! .... Now I am frantically flipping through the pages looking for an update.zip and some instructions >_>

wow ..... talk about EASY! With Trident's super awesome guide even an idiot like me can update their phone to 2.2 (granted I do have a degree in network engineering...so I may not be a TOTAL idiot[most of the time])

Yep .... I think I found an awesome place to hang out.

Yeah, about 5 days ago I did 1-click root (easy peasy) to root my X. It's the first time I'd ever rooted. It was exciting! Now I have all these root apps. Tether (which I don't really need) and stuff. :)

Tethering is native in Froyo now. I am so happy!

How has your rooted phone been in the meantime? Have you had any major problems?

Would you recommend I wait for the warranty to expire or just go for it?

it's your decision. but as I understand it you can unroot if there's a problem with the phone. no one will know and warranty is fine. :)
