After the latest Android update, I have been told that my messages are not appearing in the group message that I am in. I have another friend that has a Galaxy S6 and he has the same issue after the update. When I go to settings, it says that group messaging is on, but my recipients say that they receive my message separate from the group message. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, have you fixed it?

    Thank you.

I have the same problem, my S6 broke and I got a new one. My phone number is still in the group text but I don't see the texts. Hopefully someone can help.

Do all the people you're having problems group messaging with have iPhones, i.e. they're using Apple iMessage?

Not only the iPhone users but the friend who has the Galaxy S6 as well. He says my messages are coming separate to him. What I don't understand is that I am getting everyone's message normally in the group text but apparently everyone else is getting a separate message from me outside of the group chat (including Droid users).

Are you using Hangout? What text app are you using?

I'm using the default "Messages" app version 2.1.37. I never used Hangouts for messaging. I'm gonna try to "force stop" it and see if anything happens.

Clear cache for it too, and check your settings. They may have changed.

If the default one has been working OK and you can get it to work again that's great, if not try another messaging app. Hangouts is good, as are Chomp and Textra. I've never had luck with a stock messaging app and use Chomp, love it.

The problem seems to be resolved for now. The only thing I did was "force stop" the messages app. I appreciate the responses.
