Grouping apps on home screen

Hello. When I try to add apps to a group on home screen, the app list pops up but closes before I can select any. It will let me change the name of the group, but nothing else. Can this be fixed without resetting my phone? Thank you for any help.

Try just rebooting your phone.

I could be completely misinterpreting your posting but it sounds like you're trying to add an app icon to a group by opening up the group icon and trying to add the app icon to that existing group listing.
Have you instead tried just drag-and-dropping the app icon onto the group icon?
