Well, that's why I said "I think" and not "I know". I've looked at hundreds and hundreds of cases on Ebay and Amazon so I may have got that one wrong. There are other sellers of the same case though.

No, I don't know why it says that but when you add it to your cart it says, "$2.99". Still a heck of a deal and it's cheap enough that if it's a piece of crap it doesn't sting too much. I suspect it will work just fine though. It's definitely not the only case I have for this phone.

I got mine for $6 shipped on Amazon and thought it was a steal. $0.99 shipped is insane. I'd recommend everyone that reads this thread buy at least one. I can guarantee there won't be a better $1 case anywhere.

I dont know if anybody is interested in the bulkier leather holster type cases (I usually keep a thin case and a leather one depending on what im doing that day i switch it up), but i was searching for cases high and low and stumbled across this one and ended up ordering it. It was really hidden on amazon and this is the only place I saw it on the net, I liked the tan with the black. Just if anyone happens to like these kind

I have to say, after reading this whole thread and clicking on lots of the links and also looking on Amazon, every time I see this picture of the BodyGlove case I have the same thought.....that looks really nice. :)

Some reviewers on various sites have said the rubbery grippy cases tend to present resistance when pulling the phone from a pocket. I'd like to know what anyone else thinks about that with this BodyGlove case. The grippy surface seems like a really good idea for me, and I like the gray color next to the blue phone.

I can find this case with the link in the post, but for some reason on the BodyGlove website it is not listed for the VZW S3.

I'm wondering how many people have ordered multiple cases for their SGS3. They are available in so many shapes, colors and styles and so many of them are dirt cheap.

Ok, I'll just come out and admit it...So far I have ordered 2 cases from Amazon and another 4 (+1 battery cover) from Ebay. These from Ebay:

TPU Gel Case Cover Skin Stand /Screen Protector For Samsung Galaxy S3 III i9300 | eBay

Black Carbon Fibre Hard Back Case Cover For Samsung Galaxy S3 Slll i9300 | eBay

BLACK KICKSTAND HYBRID HARD CASE COVER SAMSUNG GALAXY S III 3 S3 ACCESSORY | eBay

Samsung Galaxy S3/SIII i9300 Concave Lines TPU Case - Black | eBay

Black twill leather battery door back cover For SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 III i9300 new | eBay

    And from Amazon:

Amazon.com: CrazyOnDigital Armor Case for Samsung Galaxy S III S 3 I9300 (Black): Cell Phones & Accessories

Amazon.com: Fosmon X-Shape Flexible TPU Gel Case for the Samsung Galaxy S3 S III - Black: Electronics

So far I have received the thick black armored kickstand case from the American Ebay seller and both of the Amazon cases. I like them all but considering I don't have a phone to try them out on I guess it doesn't really count yet.

I've had the same glossy piano black TPU case on my Droid X for almost 2 years now and while it's been amazingly durable and protected the phone from numerous falls I'm getting a little bored with just one case all the time. Considering how cheap these cases are (Compared to the price of the phone itself) I don't mind buying a few and seeing which I like the most. And depending on my needs or my mood I can change cases and the phone takes on a completely different look with a different level of protection if necessary.

I have no interest in the $20 and over cases. Other than the ones with a cover over the face, I don't believe they offer a usable amount of added durability/protection and I'm not necessarily more impressed with the appearance of the expensive cases over the cheaper ones. When I speak of durability I'm talking about cases in the same general category...TPU, double layer armored, etc. I've seen and handled high dollar cases for other phones and in my eyes the biggest difference I can see between them and the cheaper cases (In the same category) is the price tag.

The heavily armored cases at any price are usually overkill in my opinion. I've dropped my DX probably 15 times from a height of 4 to 6 feet onto concrete/asphalt with just a SteinHeil screen protector (Used 2) and the $5.00 TPU case and not only is the phone in like new condition, the case itself doesn't even have any marks on it from the falls. What better protection could I need? If I were in construction I suppose I would use the heavier 2 layer cases for the possible higher falls. I now have 2 of those for the SGS3 but I'm sure they will be overkill. I don't have any that have a face cover like a hard shell holster but I can get those pretty cheap too if I wanted. Why spend $30 or $40 or more? To each their own I guess. It looks like I've turned into a case hoarder. :D

You didn't read what I said. The case price is $2.99 when you put it into your cart. I ordered one and that's how much it costs...$2.99, not $0.99. I don't know why there is a price change like that but it did it when I ordered it and it did it again when I was just checking it out to see if it would change again.

I personally like the dual layer cases that combine a hard shell and shock absorbing silicone adding better protection with minimal extra bulk and it doesn't have to cost a lot.

For instance, the Acase Samsung Galaxy S3 Case - Superleggera PRO Dual Layer Protection (Black/Black) at ~$12 shipped.

That said, I couldn't help myself and got the $20 Incipio SA-305 Silicrylic Hard Shell Case with Silicone Core for Samsung Galaxy S III instead. Just thought it was a little better quality and liked the two color layout (e.g. easy to visually see buttons).

That said, we expect a full report on each case you bought so you have your hands full :D.

Well, like I said, I have 2 of the dual layer cases already. They're different though. One has the hard case next to the phone and the other has the soft rubber next to the phone. I'm sure both will provide excellent protection.

The $12 dual layer case you bought is a perfect example of what I was talking about. Looks good, works well, and it's cheap enough it's practically disposable.

Yeah, I'll see what I can do about that. I've never ordered anything through Ebay that came from China before so I'm not really sure how accurate their shipping time claims are. I doubt they will be here before my phone but I do have 3 to get me started with anyway. We've seen plenty of the expensive cases reviewed already. I guess I'll be here to represent the cheap skate cases.:D

    Two here so far!

Same here. Although I do have a blue and purple case as well, I always felt like my wall paper had to match the cover. Finally settled on black. But remember how hard it was to find cases of any kind when the X first came out? Much different scenario this time for sure.

I kept just one shell on my HTC Incredible. I've kept just one piano black TPU case on my LG Spectrum. I've ordered two S-Curve TPU cases (one blue, one black) and one aluminum hybrid case for my SGS3.

I'm thinking it will help me feel like I've got a new phone. Or I can dress it for special occasions.

I'm looking for something similar to what Oberon Design does, that is, fancy leather embossed sleeves. They don't do one big enough for the S3. Does anyone know of something similar?

I get this. I had an Incipio case for my iPhone, years ago, that was too sticky and hard to get out of my pocket. The bare phone is too slippery. In the middle, my older Body Glove case for my Captivate is perfect in the grip department. I would hope the Body Glove S3 case is similar. It might turn out I'm one of the first to get this case and if so, I'll report my findings in general, although it looks like it will beat my phone here by a few days at least.

Right now I am using the back half of this case on my Droid X

Amazon.com: Superior Communications Motorola MB810 DROID X Plastic Case and Holster Combo: Cell Phones & Accessories

It is rubberized, but more rigid than flexible. However, I don't have any problems getting it out of my pocket. I don't use the front piece for 2 reasons. Mostly because I don't use belt clips, and also because I am using the "extended" battery, which actually still allows the back half to work, but sliding it into the front half when using the slightly larger battery is very difficult. This is the least amount of added performance "extended battery" I have ever used on any device. The actual difference in mAH is not all that much. The size difference in the battery and cover is barely discernible.

Another thing that might help in sliding out of a pocket is that the back of the DX is contoured differently than the S3, which is fairly flat.

When I ordered it in Dec 2011 it was only $3.49. :)
