doesnt matter tho, so far I havent seen an update for the lg ally's july'12 update... for 2.2.2 instead of 2.2.1 :/

I recently rooted my ally using this method and now I keep getting "android.process.acore has stopped expectedly". Does anyone know how to fix this?

I did a factory reset and it seems to have fixed it. Firmware is showing 2.1-update1 so I think the root worked.

When the LG Phone Update window opens, I get an error that my phone is not connected to my laptop with USB... which it is. Anyone know how to fix that?

Just put your ally in usb debugging mode
