Verizon hidden menu may be for roaming.
Yep, don't remove anything with google in it. Metro apps are perfectly fine though.
so i just bricked again lol. it was my fault though anyways, im willing to test or extract anything yall want, just need to know how to lol.
I wouldn't go too crazy. Wanna try removing everything LG from the phone? I'll just stand by and wait for results
 I could spend a whole day deleting apps and making a list and checking it twice, gonna find apps that are naughty or nice
Went to sleep no root. Check it today root available and everybody and their mom already rooted lol mine rooted just fine.
@mike28 I do need to get a Motion first though lol..
hey guys am I doing something wrong?
I ran root.bat from o4xr folder and it just
opened a cmd window that says:
"daemon not running, starting it now on port 5037"
"daemon started successfully"
and it stays like that, doesn't do anything else
i'm on "charge only" mode connected to pc
Make sure you got the drivers installed correctly.
And sometimes a reboot is required as well.
So when I rebooted the phone and changed to another USB port on my PC,
Windows 7 recognized it as USB Input Device
then I ran root.bat again but still same thing
Is that what it's supposed to recognize it as? "USB Input Device"?
Going to try a few more times
make sure all drivers install before running root.bat
First of all i'd like to extend a thanks to the people who got this done, you guys are gods, you should be praised.
I've downloaded the APK an the Folder with the root, put the root folder in the C Directory and all that, I'm currently in CMD and got the folder open but when I put in Root (No quotes) it tells me it's not a recognized file or command, am I doing something wrong?
Just open root.bat by double clicking it........
On the computer??? That will work?
Yes, as long as you're running windows.
Yes or just "CD" to the folders path.
make sure usb debugging is checked and unknown sources is checked
So now the real questions is whether you can utilize Hotspotting through the tether apps, regardless of whether you have the feature added to your account or not..which is my whole reason for rooting any phone I get..
Got it! Successfully rooted.
Had to download the drivers from: https://www.box.com/s/5c8758354a564c191524
(LG Motion 4G USB Driver for Windows)
and then reboot and try again
First time it failed, second time it worked.
Confirmed with Titanium Backup
I had this same experience. Somehow when using the command prompt under Windows the files don't show up, if you do a "dir" command when you're in that folder it won't show any files. Yet they appear in Windows just fine and you can run root.bat by double-clicking it.
Yea it was annoying, but thanks to the advice Up here I got passed it. Just clicked the root file directly on the computer and it handled the rest.
NOW I have to figure out how to tether my phone without paying for it, which SHOULD be possible through rooting but for some reason it's not working.
My bad lol
Search for discussions on "user agent string". It has nothing to do with root.
