Root h boot 0.98 need help

    I want to root phone but when I go thru the new user area and follow directions my h boot is 0.98 . Can not find out how to root this one. Sorry if I have overlooked it in threads. Can someone point me in right direction. Thank you

    Search this form for "unrevoked". It is 3.21 version you need to use if running Froyo

    Are you saying unrevoked doesn't support that?

    im not saying that at all
    ive just not seen this bootloader about before. who knows what htc have done to stop root with it

    ah ok. I have no idea either way, but if unrevoked doesn't work on it, look into teppic74's downgrade tool.

    I think that 0.98 is used on CDMA Desires.

    I have a CDMA HTC Desire with a .98 Bootloader it is a Cellular South phone any info on rooting this phone

    unrevoked 3.21 supports cdma desires

    i can confirm this. i ahve a cdma desire with .98 hboot and i rooted today.

    GCI/Alaska Digitel CDMA phones use 0.98 Hboot with Android 2.1. Unrevoked 3.21 roots them just fine.
