Anyone know of a 4x2 or 4x1 email widget? Am using a htc Desire and while the htc widget is fine I'm looking for one that does not fill up the whole screen.

Thanks. Spotted that one earlier, may just download it to try it out if I don't spot anything more specific

Pure Messenger has a 4X2, 4X3 and 4X4 widget. It also has a 4X1 list widget.

I agree. Pure Messenger Widget is probably your best shot.

Tried it and it sort of does what I want but then you have to install another email client to get it to work with non Gmail emails. Am short of space at the moment and am happy with the htc mail app so did not want to install this. Ended up uninstalling pure so am no further forward. Thanks for the help though

It is IMPOSSIBLE to read the email database from external apps. So, you'll never find a widget which will do it.
This is the reason why Pure messenger request to use a modified K9 (which is REALLY VERY GOOD).
