Handcent Help

have downloaded the handcent app and thus far like it better than the old messaging app

trouble is I cant delete the old messaging app and as a consequance now get 2 message alerts for every message

Have tried to delete it through 'manage app' but only option available is to clear cache??

Help please

I think you have to do this:
Goto the apps draw.
Open "Messages" app.
Press the "Menu" button.
Enter "Settings" menu.
Scroll down to "recieved messages".
And untick "recieved notifications".

Also, if your scroll down a little further to "sent messages"
You might need to untick "sent notification" and "failure notification"

You could even try sending a text to your own number. I've never tried it but it could work.
