Handcent LED Problem.

Hey, I'm having a bit of a problem with the led function on the HTC Desire Z with Handcent. Coming from a HTC Hero, whenever I get a new message my LED and trackball would flash continually until I opened the text message. But now on the Z the trackpad and LED will flash for a while then stop. Is there a way of having it like the Hero?

Probably more a function of the phone versus Handcent. My HTC Evo does the same thing. I use Missed Reminder to have my LED continue to flash and also vibrate the phone.

I downloaded Missed Reminder, but unfortunately the LED function doesn't seem to work. I set different colors for missed calls and sms, but if it blinks at all, it sticks to one color.

With my last sms, it didn't notify me at all. There wasn't an icon in the status bar as usual, nor did the LED blink. I noticed the sms coincidentally.

ETA: I don't use Handcent, it that makes any difference.
