Good to know I am not the only person to encounter this. It does act a little weird. I hope there is an update soon.

I never really go into the contacts list myself, so I would have never used that function, but definitely strange.

The one thing I noticed that caused me to stick with the stock sms app was the fact that Handcent wasn't showing all of the messages... I am not sure if this is due to some sort of conflict of restoring my sms from my previous phone.

Handcent sent a text to me when I was trying to send a text to somebody else.

Ive been using handscent for years as well. The program would non stop crash on me in ICS. Ive been using GO SMS Pro and really like it. I suggest you guys try it.

It's so bland and boring. I enjoyed the level of customization in Handcent. Other than that... I do enjoy how lightweight this messenger app is. I'd be willing to try something that was more functional, but just with a bit of customizing allowed.

Handcent are aware of the scrambled contacts list or missing people as I've been having a Google Talk with an engineer over it. I'm still using Handcent but to select a contact I'm currently using the People phonebook list and then when you choose who you want to contact it will then give you the option of using Handcent or whatever. I think once you contacted someone it will then show in Recent contacts in Handcent.
