Help Hands-free ECHO through aux in car?

I drive alot for work. I use my Evo3D in my vehicle constantly for audiobooks/Pandora through the headphone out into aux in on car stereo.
Whenever I answer a call the person on the other end complains of terrible echo.
I used this same configuration with my HTC Hero for years and never had any complaints/issues.
Is this something i'm going to have to deal with on this phone?

I had the same problem in my Hyundai (KIA also has the same issue) and the dealer replaced the Radio and BT mic . The firmware on the radio needs to be updated. Google this issue with the make and model of your car and I am sure there will be others with the same problem.

Thanks, but i'm not using Bluetooth. The phone has an aux cable going from the headphone jack to aux-in on my 08 Explorer. I realize it's probably not the "ideal" way to do "hands-free" but again, I went two years with HTC Hero like that and never had any problems/complaints.

Swap in the Evo3D and any call the other end complains about unbearable echo.
