Hi, I installed Handscent as it offers more functionality (smiley's etc) than the stock message app. My question is how do I now stop the stock app on my HTC Sensation from notifying me that I have a new message ? Its just a pain having to open the message in 2 apps in order to remove it from the task bar, thanks in advance ;)

    1. From your homescreen, menu button (usually leftmost capacitive button)>settings>applications>manage applications>all>look for messaging>select it>clear defaults.

    2. Open your app drawer (usually blue icon on the homscreen dock)>open messaging app>menu button>settings>look for notifications>turn all notifications off.
