Handset repair.

    I have been with 3 for 6 years. Never had any bother from them all my handsets have been great until now. I sent my xperia into 3 they said I would have it back within 5-7 working days. They have had it over 3 weeks. I am always the one calling to see were phone is they never call me, an there answer to were my phone is the part needed to fix it is not in stock! How stupid a company this size cannot get a part to fix the phone. Is there anything I can do/say to get make things change?

    What kind of Xperia handset is it? Some of them are out of production and not available any more, so parts can be harder to come by. They have to get stock from their supplier who will get it from the manufacturer.

    I would contact them again and ask them if they have a policy on how long they will hold your handset "awaiting stock" before they offer you something else, like a refund or a replacement of a different model that they do have. I know of networks that won't allow it to wait for more than a fixed period of time which is less than three weeks, so it would not be unreasonable for you to request this.
