The Samsung Galaxy S5 is 2 years old today!

Released on Friday, 11th April 2014, the Galaxy S5 is still supported by Samsung and has started to receive the Marshmallow, Android 6.0.1, update. This is now, my 14th update since launch!

My phone, the international G900F, on stock Samsung unbranded firmware, has been and still is, for me, rock solid and a great piece of kit.

    Well done Samsung! :)

I didn't realize it has been two years. I got my S5 when it was first released and it is still working really well. I replaced the battery a couple of times, and I'm going to keep it as long as possible since the batteries can't be replaced in the latest Galaxy phones. That's just unacceptable.

I love my S5...comparing it to the S7..I'm not ready...the battery part makes me stay.

Maybe when they do replaceable battery for the S8 or S9 I'll switch.
