Haptic Feedback: yay or nay?

i just saw this article http://pocketnow.com/2013/07/16/why-i-hate-haptic-feedback and it got me thinking, do a lot of people not use it?
I love it and i have the intensity set pretty high. My thumbs feel "deaf" without it if that makes sense lol(?) I dont care that it uses a lot of power and makes a robotic noise. I like the robotic noise lol.
(i use the AF app and i have no idea how to create a poll lol but if any nice mod sees this and wants to make a "haptic: yes/no" poll for the thread, that would be cool) :beer:

After a ROM flash, haptic feedback is always one of the first things I turn off.

I'm not the one who fixed up your poll for you, but I did vote.

It isn't as much of an issue as it used to be, but i used to be miserly on the battery. Used the phone a lot and wasn't always near a charger.

Things have changed, I may give it a shot!

Lol youl never go back Dusty mate. Its mainly typing i need it for. I dont even watch what my thumbs do when i type now, its like back in the physical keypad days. I turned it off after reading that piece and it just felt so wrong

I used to use it, but kinda liked the "smoothness" (?) without it. So I disabled it. Does that make sense?
I only have it set for the dialpad and that's it. I need feed back when dialing

Nooo all my most respected AF peeps are turning out to be idiots lol haptic is great. I hope someone invents stereo haptic so you can feel how far left or right youre tapping.
Actualy, four vibration motors, top, bottom, left, right that vary the intensity indevidualy depending on where you touch

Actually @mike, dial pad is the only place i use touch tones lol, i dont know why
I dont understand people who have their keyboard etc set to make tones.... thats a whole other poll though lol

Yer killin me funky Do you, in addition to haptic feedback, use sounds for screen selections? Or just the haptic?

There are apps like Subwoofer Vibrator, but they aren’t doing anything in stereo, although they’re kinda interesting.

My current phone doesn't have it by default. Crazy S3 mini. I used to have it enabled. So now no obviously. But I never noticed it. One place I always turn off haptic feedback though is Swype. Their vibrate intensity is through the roof for some reason. But then I'm starting get used to and like having no haptic feedback because it feels so smooth.

Doesn't bother me personally but on low end products it almost always caused an unacceptable lag for some reason, followed by haptic "pulsing" then the ol'e app not responding dialog. Turn it off, device worked fine.

I hate just having to enter my Google account and endure it. Also, why SwiftKey has it turned on by default drives me nuts and I turn it off immediately. I don't mind it too much with navigation keys, but never with typing.

If I had the first idea how to turn it off, I might see how battery usage fares without it, though I can't imagine it can make any noticeable difference at all, given how little I type.

I have the vibrate off because I found it a bit odd, but I do like and have the audible click every time I type, so I do have feedback.
