Well my Gmail push is well and truly messed up so a hard reset and reinstall is in order.

    Can anyone give some pointers/advice?

    A few concerns I have:
    1. A hard reset shouldn't touch the card? Right? (I'll back it up anyway).
    2. How do I get my purchased apps (specifically Quiet Alarm)?

    Thanks.

    1) No, it doesnt touch the card - when I did a hard reset I backed the entire card up and formatted it before putting my media back on it. Figured this was the cleanest way of doing it, totally fresh phone. Otherwise you might end up with bits of certain apps (like cache/thumbnails etc) left on the card.
    2) As long as youre using the same google ID and SIM, you can just re-download them from the market. I did a hard reset a couple of months ago and re-installed about 30 paid apps completely trouble free.
