    Hi all,

I have just ordered a new Desire HD (still waiting for it to be shipped) and couldn't help but concern myself a little about the battery life issues that most people seem to be complaining about, mainly because the supplied HTC battery is only 1280mAh.

Looking around however, there seem to be higher capacity batteries around to replace the original HTC battery. Has anyone tried them? Do they really deliver the extra juice they claim?

I am specifically referring to the following 2:

This is claimed to be 1600mAh (even though the picture says 1500mAh):
GenieWish HTC Desire HD Ace 1600mAh High Capacity: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

This is claimed to be 1550mAh:
HTC Desire HD Battery BA S470 / HTC A9191 ACE 1550mAh Part:35H00141-02M - Quality Mobile Phone and Digital Camera Batteries At Best Price in UK

Wouldn't trust them. Doubtful that they will work, and if they do work, I doubt if they have any more power and in the worst-case scenario it could do something bad to your phone.
It is very difficult to produce a battery with much more power than the original and also keep the size the same.

Well seems the battery is discontinued, and the recommended substitute is 1300mAh.
