It seems as though android has given up on the galaxy tab. There are no apps that you can watch movies on the galaxy tab that I can find. Netflix is working on adding new devices but no word on galaxy tab. It just seems like samsung and android could care less about this tab and I dont understand. Apple has not given up on the ipad. It seems like you would want to keep old customers happy too. It is not like the galaxy tab has been out that long. It just makes me mad. It is not like the tab can not handle new updates. I would love to see cool games or something made for this thing. Please let me know what you think, and please tell me if you know of some cool thing for the tab.

hi there, personally I don't think neither of them has given up on the tab. gingerbread has been made its way on the tab and galaxy s (I know is late, but at least is something)

I don't about a movie player, do you mean streamed movies, or the ones stored on your device? I would suggest checking on google for video players. Im sure you'll find something.

As I saos before I don't think they jave given up.
with the latest update my gps issues are gone, I get a fix really quickly and usually with 8 or more satellites and also now I can pair to usb devices I could not before.

So you can download 2.3 for the tab now? Also I have the verison one and never could connect a keyboard or a mouse. Does that work now too? I was talking about streaming movies cause all the ones on the market seem to have illegal conent on them. I would love to see netflix, but when might that happen. Games as well like the new modern combat game come on that would be great for this. If you have anything else please let me know. Thanks for the info you did give.

I also have a problem with the fact that samsung will not let you use kies with mac. Come on samsung you are better than that. This device has so much it could do if samsung invested some time into it. If anyone has some ideas for me please let me know. Thanks for the help.

Samsung is rolling out the Galaxy Tab 10.1 this month and it is going to seriously challenge the iPad. It might even overtake the number one spot one day. So the Galaxy Tab line is going very strong.

But of course, early adopters will ALWAYS take the penalty. It is simply the nature of business....unfortunately. Just look at the millions of people who bought the 1st generation of iPhone for example. Their beloved iPhone suddenly become obsolete in just 12 months. And what did they have to do? Upgrade to the newer device. I see my friends who are changing their devices like changing the Spring fashion. This is the way to go in today's fast-paced mobile world, whether you like it or not. :)

What version works on the Galaxy Tab? Everyone that I've tried terminates immediately after signing in... :(

My Galaxy Tab will not run Netflix. Doesn't see Netflix in the Market. And of the 5 'hacked' versions of Netflix I have downloaded, -NONE- actually work. Some force close after login, some won't run because, "An update exists...." which is not true - or at least my GT cannot find the referenced update.

And regarding the 2.3.3 update that Samsung has teased about. Is it in fact available for a Sprint (CDMA) Galaxy Tab? Where? Believe me when I say that I've looked everywhere Google search can find and other than a few 'hacked' updates there is nothing there. And even the 'hacked' updates are for GSM GTs only.

I currently own 3 Samsung products. It is a very unsatisfying experience to say the least. I'm patient. But getting older by the day. And sometimes it feels like I may not live to see these issues resolved.

You have to think about it from the Netflix point of view. If Apple have sold millions upon millions of ipads, then that's a huge market of potential Netflix customers for them to aim for (and develop for). I haven't heard any numbers of Galaxy Tab sales, but it's not been a massive success (no matter how much WE love it). I'd do the same thing in their position unfortunately. Development effort vs potential reward. :(
