im just wondering if anyone knows if orange have announced if they are currently testing android 2.3 and how long they expect it to be before the update is rolled out to pay monthly customers.

i also heard the update may be about 100mb, in this case would i probably have to uninstall most of my apps before i would update to it?

Orange usually take about 2 months longer to release it compared to unbranded Desires. So if they are testing it (which I haven't heard yet) then it won't be here until about September.

It can't be 100mb, surely, as most Orange Desire users only have about 50mb of internal space, so that would rule that out.

I'm not fussed anyway, as I'll upgrade in the new year. I'm happy with mine as it is running 2.2.

The OTA update won't necessarily be the full update, plus it will probably be unpacked once downloaded too.
