Help have root access, minor cool things to do??

Hey guys I am new to this forum but have been reading for a couple days now. (I am an active member on android central).

I have just rooted my droid and am interested in changing some minor things around such as the notification bar, maybe the power strip and yada yada. Where can I find how to do these things?

Any other cool mods would be cool to know as well, thanks.
