So I dropped my phone from my pocket to the floor. Picked it up and there you see it's a shattered screen. Believe it or not this incredible still works perfectly!! Droid does it again.

...well I'm an exception to this rule.

I cover my phones in a good silicone case, and good protectors. BUT I am the biggest clutz around. Not even joking I get bruised getting into a truck or out of bed sometimes.

That being said, I have accidentally thrown my phone a few times (attackaged of the bugs I live in the boonies), and dropped it a number of times. These weren't like minor things accidents either.

    BUT ITS PERFECT STILL.

PS: Supposedly the Droid Incredible will work through anything, anyone see the Incredible that was burned alive and still worked perfectly?

    TEXAS, y'all!
I launched my Inc across the living room last week, hard enough that it bounced off the brick hearth of my fireplace and made it 3 or 4 foot back towards me.

I had ZERO doubt I had just inherited a $500 kaleidoscope... (Naked, extended batt.)

    Not a mark.

Yeah I love keeping my Incredible naked but I get freaked out everytime I see these stories.

I mean that's not a small crack in the OPs Incredible the whole screen is shattered, scary.

Not on purpose - not by a longshot...

Mine fell off my bed today. Then my wife's macbook fell on it. It only left a hair scratch on the bottom. I am lucky I guess. You can probably fix your screen for under $100.

I've dropped mine about ten times, including once down a stairwell. I have a Zagg skin and a VZW case. The only damage I've got is that the piece of glass over the camera lens is dented in about 1mm.

Oh dude that sucks!!! I had a major drop this past week. I run my Inc naked and use a Seidio Spring-Clip Holster. I was getting out of my Jeep and clipped my phone into the holster. I got out and my phone popped out of the holster, dropped ~4 feet with forward momentum (I was at the edge of a built up pile of gravel driveway at my mom's house) and it hit the ground HARD and slid ~2 feet, slammed up against a concrete garage foundation and bounced back ~6". No scratches, no damage. OMG I am so thankful that it landed just right.

After evaluating the problem, I discovered that my shirt must have gotten pinned in between my holster and my phone. I will be a bit more careful when I put it in the holster from now on.

I had my DInc 2 days and went to a baseball game. I dropped my phone right as I was about ready to leave. It has a pretty good scratch on the corner but that's about. My Active Case should arrive tomorrow and I can't wait to get it on. I am paranoid to take my DInc anywhere right now...lol.

I have this little pocket on the front of my purse that I like to keep my phone in. It's the perfect size for it and I love the easy access to the phone.

But seeing threads like this makes me think I am far better off just putting my phone in my purse where it's safer. The slight inconvenience of having to open my purse to pull out my phone isn't nearly as big as the inconvenience of it falling out and needing to be replaced!

I threw mine at the wall pretty hard when making my bed and doing that blanket shake thing. Then I've dropped it on concrete sidewalks and the street a few times. Not a mark. Using a naked Inc with extended battery.

dropped mine from waist level onto the parking lot after getting out of the car. Screen was fine but it knocked a piece of dust loose onto the camera ccd. There was a well defined spec of dust on every picture and video. Called verizon and they sent me a replacement the next day.

You guys are lucky. I took my case off to clean under it the other day, both sides are scuffed up bad. I wasn't feeling too good about the durability. I keep a gorilla- like grip on this thing at all times!

I've dropped my phone, both naked and protected, probably 5 times from waist level so far. Looks perfect still. I did however lay it in some scented oil and it ate through the plastic back, cracking it, and seeped in to the camera lens area, devouring the glue that holds the plastic cover on. This left me wondering wtf is in scented oil?
