Has anyone ever seen a ghost?
I don't do drugs.
Nope. But a good friend and his wife swear they did. Made a great story over a few beers anyway.
That's not what I've been told.
I've never seen a ghost. I don't think I've ever been in an area or building that was supposedly haunted though.
I have not seen a ghost but the house down the street from where I grew up is most defiantly haunted. I used to play there and too many things happened for it not to be. We could hear voices, a young child playing a recorder in the crawl space, silver and furniture got moved around, the dog would not go upstairs, there were 'cold pockets' that moved, lights would go on and off by themselves etc. I dog sat once while they were on vacation and the unlocked door would not open, I could feel something pushing it. I went home and got my dad, when we went back every light in the house was on (no timers and they had been off before) and the unlocked door was locked. The dog was hiding in the bathroom and would not come out. Yeah, that house is haunted, no doubt in my mind.
Years later it was sold and the new people almost immediately started asking around the neighborhood...they thought they heard stuff...
I don't believe in the supernatural or anything stupid like that
There's no empirical evidence that ghosts exist. I believe that people think they've seen ghosts, but I think it's entirely in their head. The fact is if you take people into a house, tell them it's haunted, and they'll report supernatural phenomena. Take people into the same house, don't tell them it's haunted and they'll report nothing.
Oh, but the tv shows say they see ghosts. Tv is never wrong, is it?
havent you seen The Frighteners? or Patrick Swayzes, Ghost??
they are real!!!
How would you know it is a ghost if you have seen it?
pfft Ghosts don't exist ... now Leprechauns?
Who All Saw Da Leprechaun Say Yeah!
That is your opinion, no need to call others' beliefs stupid.
As for me, I definitely saw a ghost all the time when I was little. She was a sad teenage girl. My mom thought I had an imaginary friend, but she also thought upstairs doors blew open by themselves with no drafts, and that our cat was afraid to go upstairs for no reason. We moved when I was 11, and I saw her nearly everyday for like 6 years.
I think he was calling the idea stupid. I'm sure his intentions weren't to insult anyone.
Personally, no, I don't believe in ghosts but I've had some weird experiences in the past that most people would classify as "ghosts".
I will have to say yes I have seen them. Some mean. Some nice. Some mischievous. We have a few ghosts in my house. In the attic something will tug at your shirt. The basement one plays with your hair. Even had one that use to walk up the stairs on the porch never walked off. We even staid at the front door and when we heard the footsteps we swing the door open and nothing.
We use to live in a house built on an Indian burial grounds. We watched a lead crystal candy dish fly off a shelf and stop in mid air and drop shattering on the floor. Also late at night we watched an Indian chief walk down our hallway. So over the years I have seen many things and those shows at full of shite.
So yes I thing ghosts are real. How many people who says they don't believe in ghosts but do believe in god?
well... i have never seen a ghost... to my knowledge..
it is always a friend of a friend.....
There's also no empirical evidence that ghosts don't exist...
The challenge I have with some of the so-called skeptics is that they prove nothing but challenge everything.
I have a friend who runs a paranormal research group. I've had a few opportunities to go along with them on investigations. While I don't necessarily believe in ghosts I do believe that things happen on these investigations that simply cannot be explained.
Personally my theory is more akin to m-theory (theoretical physics). Per m-theory there are 11 dimensions. We live in three dimensions (actually three spatial dimensions and one time-based dimension). The other dimensions most likely flow around us but are unseen. Some theoretical physicists believe that these other dimensions could be very large but could also be very-very small. In my humble opinion these other dimensions may actually contain their own universe. It's believed that the dimensions move fluidly like currents in the ocean. Sometimes two dimensions will come into contact. When these dimensions bump I'm thinking this is what preceeds paranormal events. For all we know ghosts might be inhabitants of one of these other dimensions... which might explain why we only catch momentary glimpses of them.
I agree, everyone is entitled to their beliefs. That being said, I don't believe in ghosts or supernatural beings or miracles or magic or interventions by deities or the tooth fairy.
With over 6 billion people people alive today and man walking the earth for millions of years, if there were a shred of evidence of the supernatural to be found I would think it would be and free for all to see.
I feel sure though that there are plenty of undiscovered and unexplained phenomenon out there but I believe they are not supernatural but part of the natural world but not yet described or understood by science.
Oh my. I feel like I'm watching the science channel.
I bet Bill Nye could set us all straight.... or is he a ghost now?
I wonder how religious people can say there's no such thing as ghosts...
CNN interviewed Bill Nye right after the Japan earthquake...
Shall we say he looked a wee bit skeletal...
they say.. spirits go up or down.. they dont hang around
I havent seen one, but I am getting tired of hearing strange shit in my apt. Hearing cabinets close or bang, suds just coming out my kitchen sink, bedroom closet creaking like its trying to open. I didnt sleep in my bedroom until I got a TV to put in there. (I moved recently and didnt have everything)
I thought I was the type to just haul ass out the door if some freaky stuff was happening in my home. I'm not saying I have some paranormal stuff going on, its just weird. My walls are so thin it could be the ppl upstairs.
Turns out having a place to stay made me a stronger man, more skeptical. But, I havent encountered any Paranormal Activity type stuff yet. THAT...you can forget it.
Sounds a lot like the plot of The Amityville Horror flick. lmfao
Yes, many are also theorizing that God exists in all dimensions (some quantum mechanics/physics theories proposed even more than 11 dimensions) and can move between them with ease, including our known 4 dimensions.
Actually one of the main tasks for CERN LHC (Large Hadron Collider) in EU is about the string/super string theories (the extra dimensions) and the God's particle (Higgs boson/mechanism/standard model or the Higgsless model).
