Help Headphone jack not working

yeah try different headphones or it could be that the port is wearing out......if it is not a software issue.

It's a hardware thing. I managed to break one back in the PocketPC days. Did you ever have your headphones plugged in a managed to wrap the cord around something? That's what happened to me while riding a bus.
