Help headphone jack

So I'm coming from HTC incredible, and back with that phone I was able to use the headphone jack from my phone and plug it into the "mp3" connection in my car. Everything from the phone would be played over the car speakers (SMS, mms email ). I could even carry a conversation.

When using the fascinate I'm not getting the same behavior. Only music is sent (slacker or built in player ). Anyone else getting this behavior? Any suggestions?

My Fascinate will send the audio through the headphone jack when I run Google or Bing navigator, though it's not very loud (even with all the volume controls set to maximum).
