some manufacturers for some models move jacks around

I am curious as to what is the advantage of having them where they are

what is the convince ? as i only find the inconsistency ..

    on my Galaxy Tab S2

speakers + headphones + power ports are on the bottom

bottom is what i would naturally want to rest when reading .. but i can not :/ due to the ports / speakers when using them ..

For phones, I get it. More natural when pulling the phone out of the pocket to be bottom up. Not so much on tablets.

hmm sometimes we want to rest the tablet on its bottom side .. but can not because of power and headphone jacks :/

If you use it in landscape mode, horizontal, the jack and ports will be on the side. Or turn it round 180 degrees, the jack and ports will be at the top. The tablet has an orientation sensor of course, so the screen will still be the right way up. :thumbsupdroid:

Not a Tab 2, but the tablet I got I think it's design is optimized for landscape mode, horizontal use, because then the stereo speakers are on each side, and so best position for watching movies, listening music, etc. And the headphone jack, USB and HDMI ports are on the side as well, when horizontal.
