that Trident case looks like a winner too..
its a shame that no one makes a case with a front cover for this phone, outside of Ballistic, which does not make that type of case for this phone, and won't be in the future.

@kd0axs, I know you modified the att version of the ballistic case to fit this one, and did a great job; I just don't have the tools at home to do the same..
and, BTW, its ok to post links to other forms here..this place is ALOT more "user friendly" than XDA has become...

I ordered the Ballistic case for my phone, and after two weeks or so I am quite loving it.

My brother, who lauds the Otterbox cases for his iPhone, is quite jealous of the Ballistic.

My only complaint is a lack of screen cover, but I bought one separately.

After receiving my case I quickly put it to use and dropped the phone on a ceramic floor and the phone works well. No damage. I do not suggest you do this I just wanted to see how well it stood up. After several drops and people looking at me like I was crazy I am more than happy with my ballistic case.
Awesome protection. It does not seem to have any protection for water damage so I will not risk that. LOL!!

Got my Ballistic case in as well, shipping was very quick, kudos to them for that.

As for the case itself, I am very impressed and pleased. As I stated before my only previous experience with "heavy duty" cases has been with an Otterbox defender I had on my HTC Hero. My fiance also has a couple of colors of the Otterbox impact series for her iPhone. I personally think Otterbox makes a solid product based on my experience, so I was pretty annoyed that they didn't make one for the Epic 4g Touch.

The Ballistic case is two parts. The first layer is the silicone layer that easily slips on the phone and holds it fairly snug, but not so snug that you have to stretch it to slip it off for cleaning. The corners are oversized and they are what really makes this case. After a few test drops I can tell that the phone is going to hit one of these large padded corners almost every time, so I feel very confident that my phone will be fine in this case.

The other outermost layer is the dimpled polycarbonate "shell". This part sort of grips the silicone skin and makes sure the case comes together in a nice, clean way. The shell is really good looking in my opinion and is nice and slick. I find this to be an important addition because it allows the phone to be "pocketable" like Ballistic claims. The slick back cover allows you to slide the phone in and out of your pocket much easier than a phone covered in sticky silicone.

Overall, like I said before, I am extremely pleased with the case. I don't mind not having a built in screen protector as I am a big fan of Bestskinsever.com screen protectors. I have been using them for screen protection products for around 5 years now and I wouldn't think of buying anything else.

The screen protector I ordered from BSE came perfectly cut for the E4GT and went on easily. Within a couple of days the haze disappeared and I now have a screen protector I can hardly notice is on my phone. I actually think the feel of BSE has improved over the years and I prefer the feel of the protector over the stock gorilla glass, but that is just my preference. As is the case with every screen protector I have ever tried there is a bit of "rainbowing" that you can notice on totally white screens, but the effect is very slight, and I believe the benefits of a screen protector outweigh the negatives (darn you keys!).

If Ballistic makes a case for my next phone they will be getting my business instead of Otterbox for sure.

I posted the link right below it on the next post. It's the Case-Mate Pop. I ordered the white but they sent the black..still trying to get it swapped out. Might want to order directly from Casemate. I think they had an issue with Amazon transmitting the wrong product number to them even though the picture and number on their page show correctly. I would love to get anothe Ballistic HC case for this phone but I do outside sales and I travel around town a lot and use the phone as my GPS and need a case I can take on and off easily to mount in the cardock.

Car dock.. I use the car dock also and that is my problem. I have a case but it is not and easy on off case. Nor does it work with the car dock. Ultimately it would be nice to see cases that are car dock friendly! Suggestions anyone?

Code still works on 1/09/2012. Total with free shipping is $22.46.
I like that this one covers the buttons and the holes. I hope that it wont make me press the buttons accidentally. Im kind of on the fence still because its plain old silicone, and not TPU. Pulling the trigger on a green one anyway.

I'll also update this and confirm that the code still works.
