hello, and help!!!

hi folks, new to this site, I just did the upgrade to the 4.3 on the samsung galaxy 3 and am having trouble doing screenshots now. Apparently you cant just slide finger across screen anymore for screenshots, anyone have any secrets or tricks to now do screenshots? When I push vol down and power button it just turns off
