I am trying to launch the basic Hello, Android application onto the emulator but doesn't seem to work. I have chosen Android version 3.0 with API level 11 and minSdkVersion 11. I've waited almost 30 mins for the launch, but it displayed "Android_" first and then "anDROID" and finally it said "Failed to install HelloAndroid.apk on device 'emulator-5556! " on the console.
There seem to be a lot of failures on the log cat but don't know what they are about. I am attaching the console messages and the logCat messages, any help to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated :

Even after the console says "Launch cancelled" , it seems to be trying again and again as I see the same messages again the logcat.

THANKS for the help in advance.

Ok..finally solved it. I uninstalled all the Android sdk, reinstalled only the API version 8 and directly under c:\ ...(just to avoid any problems with a space in "Program Files" )

Then created the virtual device with SD card memory of 16MB. Started the virtual device. Then launched the project on it and waited for about 25 mins. Then it said Launch failed ! I simply retried launching it and HelloAndroid text came up.

I am not yet sure what I did right, but I guess selecting the memory of 16 MB was crucial. I have seen in some posts and other forums to not use SD Card memory but I had to use it for it to work.

Once I develop a few apps, I might try the latest API but for now I am settling for version 8.

    Thanks for reading.
