hello android world

JUst thought I would drop in and say hi to everyone on the forum. I guess you could say I'm kind of new to android but then again not really. Got my eris back in March, but before that I was a long time vogue user and spend most of my time hacking it. Before my upgrade I had a full up and running eclair build ( lol funny because I actually have an android phone now and I'm still waiting on my ota)thanks to the wonderful guys over at xda. I am reading up on android a lot these days and I'm wanting to start writing programs or even cook some Roms. SO any help would be wonderful!
