    Please i check my HTC EVO and i founded some applications that didnt ask for it,when i try to unistalled i'm not allowed to do it.

    That's intentional. You won't be able to delete them unless you gain root access.

    Yes, I am interested in the rooting process...
    I am gathering that backing up the root filesystems in the phone can't really be done
    until the phone is rooted.... kind of a chicken and egg thing...
    I am very interested.

    Bob, depends on what phone you have, if it is the EVO then follow the link my bro steven posted. If it's not then find your phones specific section of the forums and read/post in it's root section. Every phone forum (almost) has a dedicated root section here with ton of very knowledgeable users who will undoubtably help answer your questions
