Hello from the Kappn

Hello fellow Drone fans. I've been with Droid for as long as I've had a smart (back with the HTC Eros). Now I've got the Galaxy S3 which isn't currently rooted...still trying to debate. Hopefully I can get back to my tech savvy pro ts from my childhood before I fall too far behind. So Hello everybody any tips on where to start...I mean I'm still confused on touch wiz vs. Jellybean.
