Hello everyone.
My trusty T-Mobile G1 took a ride in the washing machine, so sad... I had rooted it and taken it as far as CyanogenMod could get me..Android 1.6

I now have a T-Mobile Comet, which runs Android 2.2. I'm interested in rooting it and generally fiddling around with it.

I came here from Google, with a question about notification sounds...it seems 2.2 hides them somewhere else besides the SD card. I want my custom notification sounds back!

I'll be looking through the forums for any pertinent info.

Pre-installed ones are found in /system/media/audio/notifications (I believe), and you can place a 'notifications' folder on your sdcard. Any file in there will become an option for a notification sound as well.
