Hihi!! I'm new to smartphones. Been resisting for as long as possible until I broke down last week. Bought the Samsung Droid Charge and I've been debating whether or not to flush it down the toilet. I'm not an idiot with computers, phones, gadgets, etc - just a slow learner :D I've been reading up on this phone and learning all the Charge has to offer - slowly.

I've read great things about the battery life, but after 7 hours of use, the phone's dead. Is this supposed to be good??!! Do I just shut up, stop complianing, and haul around the USB charger in my luggage purse? Or is there an alternative to extending the hours of usage? :)

Welcome to the Android Forums!

Usually a day or life out of a smartphone is a pretty good thing. Remember these things are basically like handheld computers. They do a lot and the manufacturers tend to cut corners on batteries to try to reduce weight. You might want to keep an eye out for a backup or extended battery for the phone...
