Root Help! cant get rid of i9000 leftovers in my t959

    Need some help for a strange situation
    I was attempting to flash my samsung t959 to froyo 2.2.1 and came across a site the stated I could use the files for the vibrant gt i9000 and flash via odin. Well guess what that didn

    I did the exact same thing. I have the stock t-mobile ROM installed but the start up splash screen is Galaxy I9000. Mini Kies also won't detect it so I know it's not quite right. Did you find a solution?

    I got back to 2.1 by using odin but still show both the i9000 and vibrant screen at boot. I rooted but cant get any roms to install.the update.zip file installed fine I have the superuser app and installed rom manager but when I go into recovery and try to install a zipped rom from internal sd card all it wants to do is read the update.zip file. i dont get it.
