I'm hoping someone can help - please let me know if you need more information. I've had this phone for a few months - everything was working fine until this morning. I noticed that my email would not update. Then I also noticed that none of my Google Play store apps would update.
I tried a few different things - clearing the play store cache, deleting and re-adding the Google account, etc. Finally, last resort, I factory re-set the phone.

Now, even though I've added my google account in "accounts" - my phone doesn't seem to be "connecting" to this account. Meaning, I cannot see my calendar, and none of my Google play apps will update. If I open the play store, it displays my Google email address. If I click on "my apps" it shows all my previously installed/purchased apps, but it will not install or update them.

If I go to the play store online, it shows my account and my apps. If I click on one, and click on "install", choose my device, I see a message that says "(x app) will be installed on your device soon". However, the app never shows up as installing/installed on my phone.

For any app that I try to install or update through my phone, it appears to be downloading, then times out and I get an error message ("Update for xxx could not be downloaded due to an error. (Error retrieving information from server. [RPC: S-7:AEC-7 Y4YH-UOLM-5ULA2]) Every app has the same message with a different alpha-numeric code at the end.

When I look at my calendar, it just says "no events or tasks" - however, when I look at "my calendars" - my google calendar is not listed.

Notes: phone is connected to both data & wifi. Texts are coming in fine, as are phone calls. Samsung apps downloaded and installed. Another oddity - I can see my Gmail email on the phone, but it won't connect to my Comcast email.

    Help??
    Thank you!

Start off by clearing your system cache.
Then delete the accounts on your phone.
Reenter your Google account and try again.

I had tried all of that - and eventually resorted to doing a factory reset, which still didn't work. What I noticed later that was odd was when I left my home (away from wifi), everything reconnected and downloaded.

I know there's not a problem with my wifi - every other lpatop, pc. & gadget that is connected to it works fine. However, I tried changing the connection from my private connection, to the public (Xfinity) connection, and that solved the problem.
I'm not tech-saavy enough to understand why the connection would be problematic (only with email and Google Play) though my private wifi connection, and not through the public one. Especially since nothing has been recently changed with my router (gateway).

What's also odd is I've had the phone for several months; have always used the private connection, and have never had an issue.

But - I think I'm good. Thanks for the reply!
