So just flashed the gingersteem extreme and set my CPU to 2k GHZ and now my phone wont stop crashing and rebooting. How do I get it out of this cycle? I can only get to the home screen before it crashes.

Never check "set at boot" until you know for sure your phone can handle it.

Reboot into recovery and wipe data.

+1 never set on boot til you've tested the setting out.

And again not all esteems will be able to handle the 2Ghz setting. ;)

Took it down to 1.9 and seems to be running fine. How long should I test it like this until I know it's safe to run on boot?

run it thru some paces of your normal use and maybe a few things you may like to do with it. If it stays stable you should be good.

+1 besides, 1.9 is just overkill to run all the time.

Lol same thing happened to me being overconfident that my phone handles 2ghz so I set it on boot as soon as i flashed it. But instead, I didn't want to loose any data so as soon as the phones boots up I would go to setcpu or rom toolbox to change clock speed. I had to be quick lol.
