My verizon LG Lucid II VS870 is rooted. I love how I can program C++/C/C++ QT/AIDE with root. Anyways I want to install a custom rom, but I never done it before. I am cautious because I already had two soft brick phone incidents and ended up causing even more trouble while trying to fix this stuck at the boot loop issue.

This time my phone is rooted, and runs smooth with a long lasting battery. Is there anyone out their with my same phone model type brand/root who had success with installing a fresh new custom rom with all that bloatware removed?

There is only one custom ROM for this phone, Lucidian ROM. Check the All Things Root section for a download. After installing it, the new kernel allows for the removal of ANY app without brick. Try that out and see what's up.

The guy that made it doesn't have the phone so he didn't remove anything but it's pretty obvious how to do it, lol

Is this rom only one file? Also what program do I need to use to support installing this rom? One more question, are their any other approaches I need to do before installing a custom rom besides having a rooted phone and usb debugging enabled?
