I've had my HTC Desire since launch and have been really pleased with its performance and the phone itself . Unfortunately my contract is coming to an end and I'm not fully sure what to upgrade to . I currently pay

Is your Desire actually broken ? Why not just adjust your tariff with T-Mobile and keep the phone you've got? Most companies will give you some money back if you actually want to sign-up for another 12/18 months but if I were you I'd just go onto a monthly rolling contract and give yourself the flexibility if a phone come-out that you actually want.

    Of course, I'm old.

I'm in a similar position and am due an upgrade in a month or two. The best two options are the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the HTC Sensation. The Evo 3D is coming out soon as well.

Thank you for all your responses ! I'm going to try and go with one of the offers for the Samsung galaxy S2 . I have been reading about the website "BuyMobilePhones.net" and there's been quite a few complaints - has anyone experienced these or are these rare ?

I'm due an upgrade on my desire on 1st September, and am torn between 2:

    HTC Sensation and Motorola Atrix.

HTC Sensation is the obvious choice, but battery life is now becoming a big issue for me.

This, the fact that the Atrix has more memory for apps and comes with a nice little H media dock thing is probably going to sway me towards the Atrix (sad as it will be to say goodbye to HTC). :(

Sensation over the Atrix, SII over the sensation.

    (The Atrix is poor)

I received my Galaxy S2 yesterday and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I was torn in a three way split between the Desire-S, Galaxy and Sensation.
I like the galaxy but it is annoyingly bigger than the Desire and feels less solid. It has a great screen (I love the AMOLED on my original desire too) but the resolution is the same as the Desire and Desire-S and the pixels DO start to show at the bigger size.
Touch wiz is not as nice as HTC Sense, that may be a "first impressions" thing - but I certainly wasn't grabbed by it like I was by Sense when I first tried it.
Overall, I didn't go for a Sensation because it would have cost me

"I was looking at the ChaCha which seems like quite a fun looking phone , but my main need is for good browsing , facebook , a decent camera and for it to be Android ! If anyone could post some ideas they recommend that would be great ."

Oh don't get the ChaCha. I went from my beloved Desire to a ChaCha - the keyboard appealed. Same stupid storage problems as an unrooted Desire, awful Skype performance and bad battery life meant I lasted little less than a week with it.

Personally, I got a LG Optimus 7 WP7 device, and love it - but if you want an Android replacement and were happy with your Desire, why not go for the Desire S?

Matt, as your thread is more of a generic question. I have moved it to the Android Lounge.
