    Hi,
I'm not sure what to do - having never used a forum before. So please bear with me.

I am getting desperate - I have an LG android phone.

I had to open a google account to use it.

Problem is that I entered the wrong code on the pattern screen too many times and got locked out.

I was then directed to access my google account so as to get assistance / change my password.

BUT - stupidly - I cannot remember my account details. I've tried everything and my new and expensive phone is now nothing more than a new and expensive paper weight.

Any suggestions will be gratefully received by this technophobe!!!

    Love and respect,
    J.

wow.. that is a bad situation to be in.

you should go to a computer .. go to google.com and try your best to get back into that account.

last resort... go to your carrier.. have them hard reset your phone. this will put it back to default
this will erase all your info in the phone (not sdcard)
you will have to create a new google account and start over!!!!

You might be able to do a factory data reset by entering a special menu:

    - hold volume down and power at the same time, wait for a bit after anything appears on the screen, navigate the menu with the volume up and down keys, then use the home key to select factory reset.

If the above does not work, (slowly and patiently) try another key combination such as using volume up and the power key, or both up and down at the same time and the power key.

It would be helpful if you tell us which LG phone you are using.
