*Help* Installed a new kernel now touch wont work

    im using cm7 gingerbread i tried using a new kernel "never did that before -__- ) and now my touch wont work i cant even unlock the phone. what do i do! help!

    Hopefully you made a nand backup before installing the kernal.
    If you did, boot into recovery and restore the nand.

    If not, do you still have the zip file for the ROM you're using? You may need to flash that again.

    i didnt do a back up of it :( i cant just find the right kernel and reistall?

    Yes, you could install a different kernel.

    once there press control-F in your browser and search for the word 'kernel'.
    I just looked briefly and found links to two different kernels, I didn't actually check to see what folks thought about them. I expect you can find something there that will work.

    No problem, glad it worked out.
    You probably know this by now, but it's a good idea to make a nand before you 'do' anything to your phone. A rule that *I* use is - if I have to boot into recovery (or use Rom Manager) to make whatever change I'm making, then I make a nand backup first.
