While I do love my new Evo 3D, I can't help but notice my vibrate is WEAK compared to my Evo 4G. That thing was like a mini-buzzsaw on vibrate...I could hear it from 3 cubes away at work! I would literally have to run to it so as not to disturb my coworkers...it was GREAT, and you could actually feel it in your pocket. The 3D's vibrate on the other hand is so faint I can barely hear it if it's on a table with the sound off unless I'm listening for it, and FORGET about it if it's in my pocket...calls and texts will def. be missed.

Any similar results or did I get a lemon? Thanks!!

I know with my two, at least, that they're about the same. Haptic feedback is weaker on my 4g than my 3D, but keeping it on vibrate for calls or whatever is about the same. My 3D is stronger on that aspect though. Kind of has to be, with it's weak speaker.

My orginal 4g (got it on launch day) had a very strong vibrate (much like the OP describes here)... Had to get it replaced because of a faulty usb charger and the replacement that i got had a very weak vibrate. So weak, that i almost returned it because of it, but didn't because I was getting the 3d in a couple months.

Now, with the 3d, i find that the vibrate is no where near my original 4g in terms of strength, but is a little better than my replacement 4g was.

My 4G was WEAK...so the 3vo is at least as good and likely better.

    Stronger and more precise.

I disabled haptic feedback on keyboards because the vibration was slow and imprecise (felt sloppy) which hampered my typing. I noticed a pointed difference with the haptic feedback on my friend's Galaxy 1 based device.

Thankfully the HTC Evo 3D has a nice precise motor.

Is the vibrate feature something that can be tinkered with by a custom rom maker if and when full root is enabled?

Interesting responses, thanks guys...seems like it's hit or miss, and not a lemon. I'm sure it's hugely subjective as well. I will say that while my 3D's vibrate is nowhere near what my 4G's was , it's still at least as good if not better than the smartphones I had previously (Original Palm Pre, Treo 800w)...perhaps I've just been spoiled by my (potentially) abnormally strong 4G.
