Help Help me update my phone!

Just bought the SGS 2 today. Needless to say, incredible phone.

As the title of the thread says, I would like to update the firmware to 2.3.6 or 2.3.7, whichever one will work smoothest and give me the best battery life as possible as I'm aware that battery life is not very good on the phone.

A little bit of info about the phone;

I'm in Europe so it's the SGS2 I9100. It came preloaded with 2.3.4.

I went to sammobile.com to get the firmware I'd like but I am not sure which one to get.

After checking my phone's info via *#1234#, the top line says this;

PDA: I9100XWKI4

Now, I narrowed down the options on sammobile.com however there are 2 options (the corresponding CSC is; I9100OXFKE1). It says its update 2.3.4., but I already have that. If you do the search on sammobile.com you can see what I mean. One thing to note is, the country listed doesn't correspond to the country I live in. Does that make a difference at all though?

Please help as I'd like to start customizing my phone but I want to update before doing so as I've heard updating firmwares removes all settings etc.

Thanks in advance!

Nope not at all. Flash one of the xx roms from xda using odin. The link is in my rooting guide in root section. Or search "intratech xda roms". He has a thread with all rom releases from samsung. You don't have to stay with the same country code.
