Update: I was doing it wrong. You must move all the apps to the phone storage and then link them to the SD card with Link2SD, not copy them to the SD card. Doing this has given me about 45MB of space on the internal memory which should be enough. I've got a Samsung Galaxy Y with about 200 MB of internal storage. As it keeps filling up I've tried to create a partition on the SD card and move some apps over to it. Even after doing this I've still only got about 21MB free and keep getting the 'out of space' warning, which means I can't receive messages or emails. After installing Link 2 SD and creating the partition on the SD card I was expecting to have more internal storage showing? This is what I did: Copied SD card content to my computer Changed to Root user Ran Clockwork Mod to format the SD card with a 1GB partition This formatted the SD card Used Link 2 SD to 'activate' the partition Copied the old contents back on to th SD card Copied over all the apps I could to the SD card When I go to applications > manage applications it still shows there only being 20 MB or so free of internal storage. Is it supposed to show the extra 1GB? If I go into Link 2 SD and look under Storage Info, there are five areas: Internal /data SD Card /mnt/sdcard SD Card 2nd Part. /data/sdext2 System /system Cache /cache Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!
