He doesn't even need to do a factory wipe. The phone is on now because the OP finally decided to follow the instructions given to him in the first reply to his thread. I recommend leaving it at the recovery screen without doing anything; the phone is on now and that means the charging circuitry will begin to work as expected. Come back to it in like an hour and reboot it and let it turn on as normal and it will boot back into Android. Now let it finish charging.
