I'm looking to get my first android phone and have been very impressed with the HTC models on the market (particularly Wildfire and Desire).

I think the desire (while being a great phone) may be slightly out of my price range, whereas the Wildfire is more in my price range.

I have read lots of reviews for both, and I'm impressed with the Wildfire. From what I can see it has lots of very similar features to the desire, but what worries me is the reolution of the screen, is it as bad as all the reviews say? Also does the low res screen really affect what apps I can download?

Any help that anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated

yes it affects some apps so you miss out on a couple.
no the screen isn't that bad. infact for everyday use you wont spot the difference. its only browsing the web with tiny text selected and perhaps in some games it shows its weakness.

as with most good things in life you get what you pay for. but the wildfires well worth its money :)
