I am such a noob at tasker and i thought when i installed the app it was going to have so many options that it was going to to complex. i am a bit right.

I just simply want to open an app at 8 am and end the app at 5 pm

How the heck do i do that in a step by step simple to understand noob manner please

Create a timed profile.
In tasker profiles tab. Click the add buttom at bottom right. Select time and choose the time you want.
Press back buttom.
Now it will ask you to name the task.
After that it will ask you to create a task. There u will click add button at bottom and choose app which you want to start.

The first step on the Profiles tab is picking the Context - that is, what do you want to trigger the profile. In this case, it's time; you could easily instead trigger a profile based upon an application launching in the foreground (App), a one-time occurrence like receiving a notification (Event), your arrival at Home (Location), an ongoing condition like having a certain Bluetooth connection (State), or any combination of those.
