OK..someone help. On the Unrevoked website they said to join IRc to get help with this error, I'm trying here first because I have to download an IRC client ect...
    on the unrevoked website:

"Select apply sdcard:update.zip from the menu.
Press VOLUME DOWN until Yes is highlighted, then select it.

Review the output to determine if there were any errors.
If messages beginning in E: appear, stop! If possible, join IRC for support.

    Well, I got the E: Can't open /sdcard/update.zip

Tried to power down to maybe check things out and I get a funky triangle with a excalamation point in it and a little android guy...
and I don't seem to be able to power down. I'm not touching anything til I hear whats going on lol

I got that too..turns out it wasn't actually in the root of the sd card. When you plug in two drives pop up. Check to make sure you have the correct drive,

actually I forgot to rename my zip, but I figured that out after I got the error. I was more concerned with not being able to power down, and worried that something awful would happen if I pulled the battery. No worries tho, got some advice and pulled the battery. Everything was fine. S-off is set. Now I just need to figure out what I want to do from here. lol
I'm not sure I have time for all this.

you don't need to rename it.
